welcome to our website, and if you have not yet joined us at one of our services, we hope to see you in person soon. our rector is revd dr kevin francis , who is also honorary anglican chaplain at the university of glasgow. have a good browse around our website to get a flavour of what goes on here – we hope that you will be inspired to come along to our church, to experience the beauty, peace and fellowship of st bride’s. st bride’s is first of all a place where we offer prayer and worship to god. as you will see when you look around our website, we also have one of the most beautiful and interesting church buildings in glasgow. our church is an oasis of calm in glasgow’s bustling west end. we are open six days a week for various services, and at other times as well; see below for our opening times. everyone is welcome to come in to st bride’s at any of these times, to simply sit and enjoy the peace and quiet, or to pray, and to look at the lovely architecture and stained glass windows. music is of fundamental importance to the life of st bride’s, and every week you will hear a variety of beautiful choral and organ music at the services and events that take place here. on the 3rd sunday of each month (except july and august) we have a special service of choral evensong and benediction, where the choir sings more elaborate music. see our organ, choir, music list and events pages for more information. do click on the links below to read our church magazine the oystercatcher and our pew sheets . these, and this website, are updated every week and contain a host of useful information about what’s happening currently at st bride’s. above all, we want you to be a part of our community. we are dedicated to making st bride’s a warm, welcoming and friendly place for everyone who visits us. so, if you are in the area, do pop in and say hello!
